Shift

In traditional multiplayer arena shooters such as the ones championed by the Quake and Unreal titles, players battle each other to be declared as the last person or team standing in large enclosed arenas. These arenas or maps are carefully handcrafted to allow chaotic yet balanced gameplay, favoring quick-witted players intimately familiar with their surroundings.

Shift is an attempt at creating a more organic and unlearnable arena shooter experience, by introducing procedurally generated grid-based maps, and a unique terrain manipulation feature that allows players to literally use their surroundings to their advantage.
